An adolescent gunman attacked a Texas elementary school on Tuesday, killing at least 19 children and two adults, the latest case of gun-related mass murder in the United States and the country’s worst school shooting in nearly a decade. Several people, including children, have been injured. There are certain folks who are in tremendous danger.
The state attorney general’s office confirmed 18 children and two adults, including the gunman, had perished after initial reports of the death toll were jumbled up. The Texas Department of Public Safety later notified CNN that 19 pupils and two adults, including the perpetrator, were slain.
The school’s student population, according to Pete Arredondo, chief of the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District Police Department, who also addressed the media, consists of students in the second, third, and fourth grades. Most students in those grades were between the ages of 7 and 10.
