A teenager of Indian descent who was stabbed to death in Wolverhampton, in the West Midlands region of England, has been prosecuted along with a man and two other youths.
Last Wednesday, 16-year-old Ronan Kanda was attacked in the city; after he passed away at the scene, the West Midlands Police opened a murder inquiry. He had been stabbed twice, according to the results of the post-mortem.
Josiah Francis, 20, of Birmingham, and two 16-year-old lads who cannot be identified because they are minors were charged with his murder on Monday and appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court.
In a statement released by the police, Ronan’s family described him as “our son and a brother who would do anything for anyone.”
“He had a lighthearted demeanor that made everyone around him laugh. As he is cruelly taken from us, our hearts are torn. Now is the time for everyone to pray for his soul. You are our son and my sibling, and we will always adore you.
According to the West Midlands Police, their investigation is ongoing as they look over forensic and CCTV evidence.
Regarding the attack on Mount Road in Lanes field, Wolverhampton, the police stated that they were “eager to hear from anyone who may have been travelling in the area at the time and who may have obtained dashcam footage of the attack or the build-up to it.”
The incident also resulted in the arrest of a 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old male, both of whom were later freed on police bail.
