Five Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs, including Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, were suspended from the West Bengal Assembly on Monday following a clash with TMC MLAs on the the Birbhum violence was debated on the House floor.
Manoj Tigga, Shankar Ghosh, Narahari Mahato, and Dipak Barman are among the other BJP legislators who have been suspended. The MLAs have been suspended until further notice.
The BJP MLAs then staged a protest march outside the Assembly.
“The TMC MLAs and their police officers witnessed the same situation in Rampurhat that Anarul Hussain created.” This will be protested at 2 p.m. today. I intend to file a formal complaint with the Speaker, requesting that action be taken in accordance with the rules.
