A temple chariot capsizes in Tamil Nadu, killing two persons and wounding four more.

According the police, a large chariot of a renowned temple in Papparapatti here capsized on Monday, killing two men and wounding four others.

M K Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, expressed his sadness over the disaster and offered each of the deceased’s families a cash help of Rs. 5 lakh.

During the Vaikasi festival, the Kaliamman temple’s adorned chariot was being paraded through the main streets around the temple when the tragedy occurred. A senior police official remarked, “The chariot abruptly overturned, killing two individuals pinned beneath the chariot’s wooden wheel
