According to Prime Minister Modi’s address to BIMSTEC, the European crisis has called into question the stability of the international order.

In a virtual address to the BIMSTEC meeting on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict has “raised concerns about the integrity of the world order.”

“Recent events in Europe have prompted concerns about the stability of the international system.” In this situation, regional collaboration has become even more important. “Today, we are adopting the Bimstec charter to construct institution architecture for our group,” he declared at the 5th BIMSTEC Summit.

The Prime Minister is speaking remotely to the BIMSTEC conference of seven countries.

Sri Lanka will host the summit.
