
Former Punjab Congress chairman Navjot Singh Sidhu will appear in a Patiala municipal court on Friday to surrender in a 1988 road rage case in which the Supreme Court sentenced him to a year in prison.
In a letter to party supporters, Patiala District Congress Committee president Narinder Pal Lali said Sidhu will be in the court at 10 a.m. He also asked people to arrive to the courthouse by 9:30 a.m.
Sidhu’s wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu, arrived in Patiala from Amritsar about 9:45 p.m. after the Supreme Court issued its ruling.
