Russia bombarded locations from almost one end of Ukraine to the other on Thursday, including Kyiv, which was bombarded while the UN Secretary-General was visiting in the biggest offensive on the capital since Moscow’s soldiers retreated weeks ago.
According to rescue personnel, at least one person was killed and numerous others were injured in the attack on Kyiv, including several who were trapped in the rubble when two buildings were damaged.
The shelling occurred less than an hour after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a press conference with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, who stated that Ukraine has become “an epicentre of unimaginable anguish and pain.” Mr. Guterres and his crew, according to a spokeswoman, are safe.
