Concerned about an increase in Covid-19 cases in various states, the Centre has asked Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana, and Mizoram to continue monitoring the infection’s progress and take the critical efforts to promptly and effectively manage the epidemic.

States should monitor clusters, intensify genome sequencing, and monitor severe acute respiratory illness (SARI) and influenza patients in hospitals, according to Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, who also advocated more vigilance in the pandemic situation.
