P Chidambaram, a prominent Congress politician, declared on Tuesday that the search team found and removed nothing after inspecting his properties.

“This morning, a CBI team raided my house in Chennai and my official residence in Delhi,” Chidambaram said on Twitter, questioning the timing of the searches. The team handed me a criminal complaint in which I am not named as a defendant. The search crew discovered and seized nothing. I should point out that the search’s timing is fascinating.”

Chidambaram, according to Congress’s communication director, Randeep Surjewala, is a nationalist with undeniable patriotism.
