Official sources reported on Sunday that the NTAGI Working Group has suggested that the Serum Institute’s Covovax be included in the national vaccination programme for people aged 12 and up.
Covovax was allowed for limited use in emergency cases in adults by India’s pharma authority on December 28, and it was licenced for use in the 12-17 age group on March 9, subject to specified requirements.
According to sources, the Covid-19 Working Group has recommended that Covovax be included in the national vaccination programme for those aged 12 and up to the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization’s Standing Technical Sub-Committee (NTAGI).
