This was the first moderate-intensity storm of the season, according to the meteorological service.
According to the India Meteorological Department, the temperature in the city plunged by 11 degrees Celsius between 5:40 a.m. and 7 a.m., from 29 degrees Celsius to 18 degrees Celsius (IMD).
