Free electricity and ration distribution are among the primary programmes spearheaded by Kejriwal’s IIT aides for the Punjab government.

Gopal Mohan and Jasmine Shah, two top aides and advisors to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, are also point people for various major policies and initiatives now being written by the newly established Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab. Both are IIT (Indian Institutes of Technology) alumni, as is Kejriwal.

Mohan is the point person on policies like providing 300 units of free electricity per month to all households in the state and doorstep delivery of rations, according to several senior Punjab government officials, while Shah’s team has largely been engaged in research for drafting policies in sectors like transportation and social security.
