In Karachi, Pakistan, a Hindu temple priest’s house was vandalized.

On Wednesday, a mob attacked the home of a Hindu temple priest in Pakistan’s Karachi’s Korangi district.

Due to construction work at the temple, the mob vandalized the priest’s house and broke idols of the Shri Mari Mata Mandir in Korangi that the priest had kept in his house. Pakistan Police have made no arrests so far.

A high-level investigation into the incident has been launched, according to police, and evidence is being gathered.

According to Pakistan’s Express Tribune newspaper, the incident caused panic and fear among Karachi’s Hindu community, particularly in the Korangi area, where police were deployed to prevent any untoward incident.
