On Wednesday, Ukrainian negotiator Mykhailo Podolyak indicated that Ukraine is willing to hold a “special round of negotiations” with Russia in the beleaguered port city of Mariupol, with no restrictions attached.
“Yes. There aren’t any restrictions. In Mariupol, we are willing to hold a “special round of negotiations.” Interaction with one person at a time. It’ll be a two-on-two battle. Our warriors, Azov [a far-right group that is now part of Ukraine’s National Guard], citizens, children, the living, and the dead must all be saved. Everyone. Because they belong to us. I have a soft spot in my heart for them.” Forever and ever, “Podolyak expressed himself on Twitter.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine announced earlier on Wednesday that he was willing to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
