In Sri Lanka, there has been a significant increase in gold prices.
Gold prices have risen dramatically, according to gold dealers on Sea Street in Colombo.
They pointed out that the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia has contributed to gold prices skyrocketing.
As a result, a 24-carat gold coin costs Rs. 150,000, while a 22-carat gold coin costs Rs. 139,000.
Gold dealers have also revealed that the high price of gold has resulted in a scarcity of gold in the domestic market.
However, the global market price of a gram of gold has recently dropped to US$ 1,974.
