A police sub inspector’s body was recovered in Pampore, Pulwama district, South Kashmir, on Saturday morning under suspicious circumstances. Sub inspector Farooq Ahmad Mir’s body was recovered with bullet wounds in the paddy fields of Samboora village. His unit was the 23rd IRP Battalion.
Farooq Ahmad Mir was shot dead by terrorists with a pistol while working in his paddy fields on Friday evening, according to preliminary inquiry findings.
