On Thursday, May 19, heavy rains continued to wreak havoc in many parts of Karnataka, including Bengaluru, for the third day in a row. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for May 19 across six districts in the state: Uttara Kannada, Davanagere, Shivamogga, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and Chikkamagaluru. An orange warning has been issued for Hassan and Kodagu, while a yellow alert has been issued for the remainder of the state.
