
Next week, Russian President Vladimir Putin will travel to Iran. According to Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the Kremlin, he will have meetings with Israel and Turkey while in Tehran.
Putin’s visit comes after US President Biden’s trip this week to Israel and Saudi Arabia, where the topic of conversation will be Iran’s regional nuclear programme.
On Monday, the White House stated that although it is expected that Iran will provide Russia with hundreds of drones, it is unclear if Russia has really received them or not.
According to Mohammadrez Pourebrahimi, the president of the Iranian Parliament’s economic committee, Putin’s visit will be aimed at fostering better economic ties between the two hard-hit countries.
