Niharika Konidela was one of 140 people detained by the Hyderabad Police during a drug raid; the actor’s father, Naga Babu, issued a statement.

Naga Babu’s daughter, actress Niharika Konidela, was among the 150 people detained following a raid on a Banjara Hills hotel in Hyderabad. Hyderabad police raided an upscale pub in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills in the early hours of Sunday for operating past its permitted hours. Bigg Boss Season 3 winner and Tollywood singer Rahul Sipligunj, as well as Niharika Konidela, were detained. Multiple reports claim that drugs were stopped at the party, but the police have yet to respond.

As the case progresses, Niharika’s father, Naga Babu, posted a video in which he confirmed that his daughter had been detained but that the police had determined that she was not guilty. “Last night, my daughter Niharika was detained for being in a pub in a five-star hotel.” The management has been arrested for operating the pub outside of its permitted hours.
