Officials reveal, ‘Chethana Raj’s Surgery Process Was Illegal, Clinic Had No License.’

Republic talked to the District Health Officer (DHO) in Bengaluru a day after Kannada actor Chethana Raj passed unexpectedly, who disclosed that the Dr Shetty Cosmetic Hospital where she got cosmetic surgery did not have the permission to do the treatment. The Hospital only has a license to operate a polyclinic, but no license to perform any type of surgery, according to the DHO, who also claimed that the private company was engaging in unlawful operations. He further stated that a report will be sent to the Karnataka Medical Council in this respect.
