On Sunday, BJP National Spokesperson RP Singh shared a letter purportedly written by Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi that confirms whether Rana Kapoor paid Rs 2 crore for an MF Husain painting.

Singh took to Twitter to share a letter signed by Priyanka Gandhi thanking Rana Kapoor for purchasing an MF Husain portrait of Rajiv Gandhi.

“I have received your letter as well as your payment of Rs 2 crore, which represents the full and final payment for the subject painting. I trust you are aware of the historical significance of this work and will ensure that it is displayed in an appropriate setting “the letter stated.
