Police in Srinagar’s Rainawari say two militants were killed in an encounter.

On Wednesday, security forces killed two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants in Srinagar’s Rainawari district, one of them was carrying a media identity card.

“Two terrorists were killed during the operation.” Weapons and ammunition, as well as evidence, were discovered. One of the victims was a LeT local terrorist who had a media ID card. Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar remarked, “It clearly suggests a case of media misuse.”
