Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s party has signed a contract with political consultant I-PAC, which was previously led by election strategist Prashant Kishor, ahead of the state’s assembly elections next year. Mr Kishor, who appears to be on the verge of joining the Congress, has been camped out in Mr Rao’s official residence in Hyderabad since Saturday, according to sources.
Mr Rao’s contract has been anticipated for some time. However, it has sparked speculation in light of Mr Kishor’s talks with the Congress, which he has joined with a comprehensive plan to revitalize the Grand Old Party.
