Shashi Tharoor Shares Woman MP’s Video: “Delhi Police Tore My Clothes”

In the midst of a debate over the alleged mistreatment of Congress workers during Wednesday’s protests in the capital, senior party leader Shashi Tharoor released a video of Congress MP Jothimani on Twitter, in which she claims she was violently assaulted by Delhi police.

“In any democracy, this is unconscionable. Dealing with a female protestor in this manner violates every Indian decency norm, but doing it to a LokSabha MP is a new low. I strongly oppose the @DelhiPolice’s actions and demand that they be held accountable. Please, @ombirlakota, take action! “Mr. Tharoor penned a letter.
