Sri Lanka still facing an economic crisis with a shortage of fuel, the Indian government-owned oil producer and explorer, Bharat Petroleum had given hands to Sri Lanka by refueling the aircraft.
An update on social media has been released, and about 100 flights have been refueled by Bharat Petroleum in Chennai, Kochi, and Trivandrum airports.
BPC had tweeted on social media, “United with Sri Lanka. We are pleased to support Sri Lankan airlines with the refueling of their long-haul flights at Indian airports to overcome the Jet fuel shortage in their country. So far, more than 100 flights have been refueled at Trivandrum, Chennai, and Kochi airports.”
In another tweet BPC Limited said, they have been associating with the Sri Lankan airlines for “over a decade” and that they had refueled their assets overnight which was long on-stand, within short notice.
BPC has given shoulders to Sri Lanka on the announcement they did on June 29, that, their jets are out of available fuel stocks.
