Sri Lanka awaits the resignation of the president.

After President Gotabaya Rajapaksa fled the country in the middle of the night for the Maldives, a crowd of demonstrators stormed the Prime Minister’s office without being stopped.
We need new leaders and new systems; both of you should leave, the demonstrators in Colombo shout.
According to the news agency, Rajapaksa will fly to Singapore today.
The resignation of both President Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremsinghe is what the people of Sri Lanka are waiting for.
Rajapaksa previously stated that he will quit this week, but a letter of resignation has yet to materialize.
A protester had died after breathing tear gas, and the police had used it  to expelled the crowd with the gas.
The security committee has been established by the prime minister, who has assumed leadership.
