Still mute on Prashant Kishor, the Congress has announced an empowered action committee for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

The wait for poll strategist Prashant Kishor to join the Congress continues, with the grand old party still undecided on the matter.

Sonia Gandhi, the Congress president, met with senior leaders on Monday to review a party panel report on Prashant Kishor’s suggestions and his probable admission into the grand old party.

When asked about what happened at the meeting, however, Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala dodged any questions.

He stated that the Congress president has decided to build an empowered action committee to guide the party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

The members of this special panel will be named later, according to a representative for Congress.

Meanwhile, the Congress has declared that it will hold its Chintan Shivir in Udaipur, Rajasthan, next month.
