Tajinder Bagga, a BJP politician, has returned home; security will be provided by the Delhi Police.

The arrest of BJP leader Tajinder Bagga on Friday sparked a high-stakes clash between three states’ police forces. Bagga police have been given protection by a Delhi court. His imprisonment by Punjab police has been described as “illegal.”

He was brought before a court in Dwarka after being released from Punjab police custody. Bagga and his family would be protected by the Delhi Police, according to the Duty Magistrate. According to his counsel, the Duty Magistrate issued this judgement after the BJP leader expressed concern that such instances may occur again.
