The Family of a Man Killed in Communal Violence in Khargone Files Charges Against the Police

Ibris Khan, 28, went missing on April 10 evening when violence erupted during a Ram Navami procession in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone.

His family was out on the streets until Sunday, April 17, searching every nook and cranny, including mortuaries, for Ibris. To their surprise, his body was discovered 120 kilometers away at the M.Y. Hospital morgue in Indore.

While the post-mortem report states that Ibris died from severe head injuries, Ibris’s brother, Iqhlak Khan, has accused the police and Khargone residents of involvement in his brother’s death. The police have stated that they played no part in the incident.
