The President will bestow Padma Awards for the year 2022 during today’s Civil Investiture Ceremony-I.

President of India Ram Nath Kovind will present two Padma Vibhushan awards, eight Padma Bhushan awards, and 54 Padma Shri awards at the Civil Investiture Ceremony-I today at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Radhey Shyam and General Bipin Rawat (both posthumous), Ghulam Nabi Azad, Gurmeet Bawa (both posthumous), N Chandrasekharan, Devendra Jhajharia, Rashid Khan, Rajiv Mehrishi, Dr Cyrus Poonawalla, and Sachchidanand Swami would be among the major honorees. On March 28, there will be a Civil Investiture Ceremony II.
