J.P. Nadda, the BJP’s president, alleged on Sunday that recent communal violence during the Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti yatras was a “plot” to foment social disintegration, accusing the Congress of acting in a “most irresponsible” manner.

Nadda, speaking to party members at a state executive committee meeting in Hospet, Karnataka, attributed the violence to the BJP’s strong showing in five state assembly elections.
