
Three teenagers have been charged with screaming caste insults at an 11-year-old kid and shoving him into live fire in Tamil Nadu.
The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act was utilized to charge the three accused youths. According to reports, they all attended Kattuchiviri Government School in Tindivanam, Viluppuram district.
On Monday about 4.30 p.m., the victim kid from class 6 went to see his grandma. When he arrived home with burns on his back, chest, and shoulders, his parents questioned him, and he explained that he slipped and fell into a burning bush.
For treatment, the youngster was brought to Tindivanam Government Hospital. He finally admitted that a couple of upper caste classmates at his school had been abusing him and using caste insults after considerable persuasion.
The boy’s father reported the incident to the police station. The three pupils were charged under section 324 of the Indian Penal Code and section 3 (1) (r) (s) of the SC/ST Act after the victim’s statement was taken.
