The Backward and Minority Communities Employees Federation has declared a Bharat Bandh (BAMCEF).
The Bharat Bandh has been held across the country in protest of the lack of a caste census. Although several states have asked for it, the federal government has failed to respond.
Other demands include not using EVMs in elections, conducting a caste census, offering reservation to SC, ST, and OBC in the private sector, ensuring MSP to farmers, and urging that CAA and NRC not be implemented.
“The Rashtriya Parivartan Morcha, Bharat Mukti Morcha, Bahujan Mukti Morcha, and many other organisations have approved our Bharat Bandh initiative,” said BAMCEF President Vaman Meshram.
